Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Asset Management Lead to provide asset management support, coordinating asset data, readiness tracking, risk identification, and operational alignment. This position can be located in several cities, including: San Diego, Tucson, and El Paso.
The Asset Management Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for the business unit by building a positive relationship and effectively communicating the business’s goals. The Asset Lead will simultaneously challenge and guide the business unit at critical junctures to ultimately create a holistic strategy. The Asset Lead is expected to achieve measurable targets on schedule in service and quality and reduce lease and operating costs within the assigned regions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
- Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
- Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
- Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
- May have budget responsibilities. Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization.
- Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results. In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and does not have direct reports or subordinate employees.
- Creates real estate solutions and strategies that drive efficient use of all real estate assets
- Identifies and acts on unique opportunities, delivers cost savings, improves utilization
- Oversees and ensures successful delivery of real estate strategies, transactions, and projects
- Acts as operations advocate while balancing corporate governance and standards
- Ability to be a strong team member and as well work independently
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of related experience in client relationship management and/or corporate real estate, including strategy development, leasing, and/or workplace/facilities management, in relevant geographic locations throughout the Americas or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Organized in all areas of transaction management and has a strong recall capacity
- Experience managing internal and external staff
- Strong customer focus and ability to balance and advance business objectives in the context of corporate standards and governance
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral; Must be able to articulate compelling business cases
- Ability to indirectly influence transactional outcomes with a strong analytical approach and maintain process and schedule
- Strong client management and problem solving skills
- Experience with service provision
- Attention to detail and ability to organize complex concepts and information
- Able to work in and deliver services in a team-based and matrix environment
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Additional Information
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of an enhanced background investigation, which may include, but is not limited to, verification of employment and education, a criminal history review, drug screening, and a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check, as applicable.
