Position Summary

 

As a Maintenance Technical Trainer, you will oversee the scheduling and training activities of the department, while coordinating activities under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. You will also develop and assist in the implementation of initiatives to promote and improve consistent operating practices and procedures. You will be responsible for leading initiatives through mentorship, feedback, and recognition to ensure active participation by team members.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate, present, monitor, maintain and assist with maintenance related skills development and associated training.
• Create vision for training to support equipment, as well as general facility maintenance to achieve targets including crew utilization, technical failure percentage and unplanned stops.
• Set and implement the strategic vision for the Factory-Build and execute a training plan for the maintenance department including technicians, technical operators, team leaders, and planners.
• Collaborate with facilitators and managers in prioritizing programs of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of required trade skills, and lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology.
• Assist the Maintenance Facilitators with maintaining training qualifications and progression plans for factory.
• Spending time on the factory floor, while coaching procedures related to troubleshooting.

Basic qualifications (minimum)

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in a technical role and 1+ years training experience within a manufacturing environment

OR

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline and 1+ years training experience within a manufacturing environment.
