We are thrilled to welcome a Field Operator I who will be responsible for ensuring proper operation and maintenance of all equipment related to the production and transportation of oil and gas in an assigned area by performing the appropriate repairs to the equipment as needed. This role will allow you to communicate with your peers, supervisors, and outside company personnel about how to best cover operational responsibilities.

Here’s what you will do:
Operate liquid transfer facilities, H2S processing plants compressor and generator plants.
Monitor pressures, temperatures, flows, and liquid levels.
Assure pipelines and facilities are protected from damage from outside forces.
Conduct technical and safety training for operations personnel.
Maintain accurate field records and reports on all equipment.
Schedule, coordinate, notify and perform required measurement calibrations.
Analyze and interpret data and takes and/or recommends appropriate actions relative to job duties.
Install, maintain, and/or operate equipment such as compressors, dehydrators, separators, heaters, wellheads, tankage, product loading, pressure regulation, odorization and related equipment.
Keeps accurate records and reports on all equipment.
Follow and understand all safety plans, procedures, and requirements.
Stay in sync with and understands BLM, EPA and DOT requirements concerning the production of oil and gas.
Align with all codes, standards, and permits that pertains to the operation and maintenance of system and facilities.
Participate in internal process improvement and problem-solving teams such as planning teams.
Develop knowledge in an additional field area such as mechanical, automation, construction, gas processing, electronic measurement and chromatography.
Who you are:
You have:
A High School diploma/GED with up to 2 years’ experience or a combination of equivalent training and experience in field operations.
A basic understanding and uses pneumatic controllers, programmable logic controllers, flow measurement, gas sampling, and chromatography equipment.
Knowledge of operation, maintenance, and use of self-contained breathing apparatus.
Knowledge of basic FERC regulations and necessary requirements.
Basic knowledge of and ability to use a personal computer and related software that meet department needs.
Basic knowledge of gas compression, water and oil tanks, natural gas engines and compressors, plant computer, and control equipment.
Basic knowledge of company standard practices, emergency plan, operating inspection, maintenance plan, and all safety requirements.
Basic math skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You are:
Able to safely operate a 4-wheel drive vehicle in on and off-road conditions.
Skilled in the use of hand and maintenance tools.
Skilled in relating interpersonally.
Able to see objects at close range and to determine the distance and relationship between objects.
You can:
Interact with others, to communicate clear instructions, and evaluate results.
Handle emergencies and respond to stressful situations which may include changing flat tires, chaining up vehicle, operating jack, performing minor maintenance, and operating a two-way radio.
