About the Role:

The Systems Administrator SA is responsible for managing data integrity, availability, and security while providing excellent support to our organization’s IT infrastructure. The SA will focus on CommVault backup and storage to design, implement, and manage backup and storage systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for the operation and support of infrastructure in datacenters and remote offices; this includes support of server hardware and workloads, storage, networking, and security
• Provide input in the design, implementation, and support of the CommVault backup and recovery.
• On-going management, support, and refresh of the server and network infrastructure, including cloud-hosted environments
• Working closely with IT staff and the Security Officer to ensure compliance with all security requirements
• Manage storage resources, including capacity planning, allocation, and optimization
• Monitor system performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize backup and storage operations
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and assist with problem resolution

 

Qualifications & Interests:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• 3 -5 years overall job experience in Information Technology with at least 2 years’ experience in an enterprise environment
• Proven experience as a System Administrator with a focus on Commvault backup and recovery solutions
• Exceptional problem-solving skills; eager and able to adapt and respond with creative solutions to unfamiliar problems and requirements
• Experience with SAN, NAS, and other storage technologies
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud storage solutions
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Commvault software, including CommServe, Media Agents, and client systems
