About the role

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adequate quality control is conducted over relevant Life and Pensions documentation, systems and processes.  The role will entail designing and implementing a quality and compliance control programme for FBD L&P sales channels, carrying out reviews and reporting on results obtained.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and organise quality and themed audits to ensure adherence to all applicable regulation, and business processes.
  • Review of records, reports, operating practices and documentation.
  • Provide reports by assembling, analysing and summarising audit results.
  • Undertake appropriate analysis of the patterns of issues identified on a regular basis.
  • Identify trends and ensure effective controls are in place to prevent recurrence.
  • Escalation of issues, trends or suspicious activities.
  • Recommend opportunities to strengthen controls.
  • Liaise with relevant departments regarding issues identified.
  • Encourage positive customer outcomes by identifying and promoting service improvements.
  • Carry out preparatory work for Central Bank Audits where required.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned in line with company requirements including cross functional training of Operations activities to support department SLAs.

Education

  • QFA or other relevant qualification

Experiences

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a busy office environment or similar role is essential.
  • Knowledge of Life and Pensions practices and processes beneficial
  • Strong audit, quality management, reporting and communication skills
  • A high degree of flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and expectations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in building working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent punctuality and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with a disciplined approach to tasks/duties.
  • Computer skills mandatory with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
