Team Manager, Migration Tool Architect

The Role
We are looking for a solution architect to build our next-generation tooling for migrations. This will accelerate our customer journey to the best industry cloud, increasing the speed and effectiveness of the whole life sciences industry. You will be a hands-on solution architect, lead the engineering team to create, support and enhance the tool using AWS architecture and tools.

What You'll Do

• Help establish a full-stack product engineering team with the right methods, processes, and software
• Design and architect a new cloud-based web/ETL-based infrastructure & architecture
• Partner with migration and practice leaders, and tooling product manager to develop vision, strategy, and execution
• Work with a team of developers to implement architecture
• Drive new features and improvements for the tool to adapt to new Veeva Vault releases and applications
• Establish operations and support processes for the migration tool

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience specifically in cloud data migration, extract-transform-load (ETL), web-based applications & database tools
• 5+ years of experience in architecting/implementing solutions using the AWS platform, services & tools
• Experience in designing and implementing solutions across various Cloud services such as GLUE, Lambda, etc.
• Proficiency with programming languages Java or JavaScript
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL data stores
• Knowledge of current industry coding standards, tools, and best practices
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Nice to Have

• Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Professional Level
• Design & implementation experience with distributed applications
• Experience with "on-premises to cloud" migration tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools
