Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice in need of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to work per diem supervising SLPAs. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.)

SLP Job Duties Include:

A Speech Language Pathologist-Pediatrics delivers excellent family-centered patient care, that aims to support functional goals and needs of the patient and their family. SLPs perform assessments and interpretation of evaluations and test results; determines speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription, and carries out a treatment plan that supports functional improvement across the lifespan.

  • Provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
  • Helps patient accomplish goals outlined in treatment plan and effective use of therapeutic devices and strategies.
  • Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records, according to the law.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects clinic operations by keeping information confidential, according to the law.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Develops speech therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Participates effectively as a member of the IEP team, but providing these services as part of a comprehensive education plan and in accordance with the written IEP, as needed.

Requirements for Per Diem Staff:

  • Minimum 1 time a month on campus
  • Minimum 1 time a month on campus with assistant (if supervising)
  • Must offer available dates and times on a monthly basis for the following month
  • Billing completed same day
  • Notes completed within 5 business days
  • Reports completed within 1 week and reviewed by manager prior to submitting
  • Independent with evaluations, treatment, documentation, and reports
  • Must complete 1 Saturday a month

Compensation

  • $46 - $60
  • Based on Experience

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Speech Language Pathologist- SLP
  • Pediatric experience a plus
  • Clear Livescan
  • TB Test
  • CPR Healthcare Provider Card
  • Availability must include until 7pm during weekdays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
