Machine & Tool Engineer 2

Job Summary:

The Machine & Tool (M&T) Engineer will be responsible for identifying, developing & creating new technologies to improve the operational & energy efficiency of Automated Production Systems. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify & Develop or create new technologies to improve the operational efficiency of Automated Production Systems
• Identify & Develop or create new technologies to improve the energy efficiency of new and existing Automated Production Systems
• Prepare cost estimations for development items and monitor/maintain budget throughout the projects
• Prepare & monitor schedules to ensure on-time completion of development projects
• Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with Business Planning, Design & Assembly
• Develop or create the engineering designs for the identified new technologies
• Standardize the use of new technologies within NA M&T as well as NA Denso
• Work Directly with Production & Production Engineering groups to identify gaps in current Automated Production Systems (Utilizing data analytic methodology where appropriate)
• Prepare and Present proposals to all levels of management as required to gain approval

Requirements:

• Machine/automation design background (Electrical Design preferred)
• 3-5 yrs Machine design/automation experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field

Desired capabilities:

• Experience programming and debugging Industrial Machine Vision
• Experience programming and debugging Denso and UR robots
• Experience programming in PLC & Structured Text methodology (Python, etc.)

Annual Salary: $76,100-$95,300
