With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add an experienced Kitchen Equipment Technician to our dynamic team.
Scope of work
To be successful in this role, a Kitchen Equipment Technician must be skilled in commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment maintenance and repair, must be able to work independently, and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. To excel in this position, you should have strong technical skills, be a master at trouble shooting and be an expert in customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment- including walk-in freezers, coolers, ice machines, rack systems
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for commercial equipment and perform necessary repairs
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections of hot & Cold commercial equipment to ensure they operate at peak efficiency
- Respond to calls promptly and professionally, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all HVAC/R work, including handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Document all work performed, repairs completed, and maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety
Requirements
- Must have New Jersey Refrigeration Technician License
- Minimum 5 years experience hot & Cold commercial kitchen equipment repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC/R commercial equipment such as walk-in freezers, coolers, and other commercial refrigerant equipment
- Standard computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
- Universal EPA certification preferred
Compensation: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k
