We are looking for an Editorial Intern for Summer 2023 who will support the team’s mission to improve and build upon LIVESTRONG.com’s vast inventory of high-quality health content. It requires strong writing and editing skills and great attention to detail.
You’ll report to: Editorial Director

A typical day as Editorial Intern might include:

• Brainstorming and pitching article ideas
• Writing and/or updating timely, SEO-optimized, evergreen and/or e-commerce articles
• Working closely with vertical editors to help them fact-check and update content across their sections
• Providing web production support for vertical editors as needed
• Providing social media support for social media manager as needed 
• Engaging with LIVESTRONG.com’s social media audience 
• Interviewing experts in the health, nutrition and fitness space
• Keeping your finger on the pulse of the health, nutrition and fitness world in order to stay up to date on promising trends

What you Have:

• Strong interest in writing and editing for a health or lifestyle publication
• Strong writing and revising skills, and a willingness to receive constructive feedback
• Experience interviewing experts in health, nutrition and fitness as sources for health or lifestyle articles
• Ability to prioritize and manage your time productively using an editorial calendar
• Experience gathering information from credible online sources to ensure factual articles are accurate and up-to-date
• Interest in covering health and science studies and learning how to translate study-speak into useful takeaways the average reader can understand
• Interest in learning about SEO best practices
• Interest in helping people from all backgrounds live their healthiest, happiest lives
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

You’ll be successful in this role if you are passionate about creating high-quality service content that helps readers at all stages of their health journeys. The Editorial Intern is responsible for pitching, writing and revising ideas and articles on various nutrition, fitness, and health topics.
