Job Description

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for technology and a knack for solving complex business challenges? Do you excel in a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive work environment? At CoBank, we are on the lookout for Senior DevOps Engineers who share our zeal for crafting state-of-the-art products through advanced automation across AWS and on-premises infrastructure, while also embracing cutting-edge technologies. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you play a crucial role in bridging development and operations teams, ensuring the seamless delivery of top-notch software products within the cloud ecosystem. As a Senior DevOps Engineer at CoBank, you will be responsible for managing CoBank's AWS footprints through Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline as Code. You will play a critical role in automating and optimizing our infrastructure to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our applications. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and manage CoBank's AWS footprints using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure and application deployment. Collaborate with developers and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of applications. Implement best practices for security, scalability, and reliability in the infrastructure.

Essential Functions

1. Automation and Infrastructure Management:

· Leverage advanced automation tools such as Infrastructure as Code, Pipeline as Code, and Configuration as Code to streamline processes.

· Implement and manage automated solutions, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive automated testing practices to ensure software quality.

· Monitor and maintain robust systems through advanced observability practices.

2. Collaboration and Development:

· Lead Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in AWS/Cloud.

· Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver complex cloud-based solutions.

· Utilize advanced programming languages and tools, including Bash, Powershell, and Python for development.

· Manage container orchestration services such as ECS, Docker, and Kubernetes, and leverage a range of AWS tools.

3. Modern Device Management and M365 Administration:

· Oversee the management, development, and deployment of modern device management solutions such as Intune, JAMF, and Workspace ONE.

· Lead automation efforts with Microsoft 365 tools and services to enhance productivity and collaboration.

4. Application Deployment and VDI Migration:

· Lead automated application deployment projects, ensuring smooth and efficient rollouts.

· Manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) migration projects and provide ongoing support for VDI environments.

5. Continuous Learning and Improvement:

· Develop a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

· Continuously learn and implement new automation technologies by analyzing technical specifications.

· Ensure adherence to security best practices and support the implementation of best practices across the organization.

6. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

· Resolve complex production issues promptly, engaging IT and vendors as needed.
