POSITION SUMMARY
Working as part of our Fund Development team, the Fund Development Associate will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the overall fundraising and development related efforts.
Based out of the Girl Scouts Raleigh Service Center, this position is full-time, non-exempt.
Reports to the Director of Donor Relations.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist individual giving efforts with direct mail appeals, including preparing collateral, pulling, cleaning, and preparing donor list for variable data merge, and assisting with reminders and invoicing, gift processing, and stewardship of individual donors.
- Assist team with donor stewardship efforts, including acknowledgements, recognitions, communication tools, and incentive distribution.
- Assist Fund Development Team with donor identification, research, and data collection efforts.
- Support the achievement of fund development goals by supporting the team with events, publications, and programs to recognize and steward donors throughout the year.
- Assist Director of Donor Relations with outcomes and reporting including survey creation and analysis through Qualtrics online survey software.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong writing, communication, project management, and research skills
- Service-oriented team player able to work with others at all levels of the organization
- Commitment to detailed and thorough completion of projects
- Knowledge of the basic principles of nonprofit fundraising
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of databases, mail merges, and Raiser’s Edge a plus
