SUMMARY
Works with Zone Directors and Zone Retailer Aftersales Managers (ZRAMs) to achieve Regional parts- and service-related objectives. Works with the Zone teams in securing capacity to support Owner Loyalty Program (OLP), parts, and accessory sales growth and longer-term owner retention. Ensures that ZRAMs effectively utilize Subaru of America (SOA) National Parts and Accessory Marketing Programs. Maintains accountability for Regional warranty costs and standards by guiding Zone teams in managing warranty and Policy Adjustment Request (PAR) expenditures effectively.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with Zone Directors to meet annual Regional parts and accessories (P/A) purchase goals by developing marketing and incentive programs, providing effective analysis/reporting, and mentoring District Parts/Service Managers (DPSMs).
- Supports the Regional Customer Experience Manager and Zone Directors in achieving Parts and Service customer satisfaction objectives.
- Ensures effective utilization of all Subaru of America (SOA) national programs including Parts Retail Inventory Management Effectiveness (PRIME), Parts and Service Subaru Advertising Fund (SAF) Funds, and Summit, through coordination with Zone Directors and Zone Retailer Aftersales Managers (ZRAMs).
- Identifies non-technical training needs for retailers, Districts, and Zones, coordinating efforts with Subaru of America (SOA) and Zone teams.
- Oversees the Regional Fixed Operations promotional budget.
- Reviews monthly OSR and FMC results to identify gaps, implement corrective solutions, and counter negative trends.
- Partners with the Regional Distribution Manager to plan for the impact of growing electric vehicle (EV) business on P/A attainment.
- Monitors warranty and Policy Adjustment Request (PAR) costs through the ZRAM, directing corrective actions, addressing retailer deficiencies, and planning for long-term Regional growth.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews quarterly Retailer Parts and Accessory Bonus Program goals to identify opportunities.
- Develops Regional- and Zone-specific strategies and action plans to achieve P/A objectives and Owner Loyalty Program (OLP)/owner retention targets.
- Supports training, development, and retailer engagement, traveling with Zone personnel as needed for implementation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that satisfies the requirements of the SOA Driving Record Evaluation Criteria Policy. Must be approved as an "Authorized Driver" by Risk Management to operate vehicle prior to vehicle operation.
- Excellent organization and time management skills and highly successful at handling multiple priorities.
- Ability to effectively communicate through dotted line organization structure at the Subaru of America (SOA), Region, Zone, and District level.
- Automotive field and management experience in parts and accessory sales, marketing, and inventory management.
- Budget management and financial analysis expertise.
- Computer proficiency with knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn new and proprietary SOA systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 8-10 years' experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Required Travel: 50%
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that satisfied the requirements of SOA Driving Record Evaluation Criteria Policy.
