Summary

Mission Technologies is seeking a Network Control Technician to support the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) as part of the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE). This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of NETTN infrastructure—including client devices, servers, and network components supporting enterprise modeling and simulation applications.

 

The technician will work closely with internal teams to configure, monitor, and maintain systems and network assets, apply regular patches, and ensure full compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). The role requires both independent initiative and team collaboration in a fast-paced defense training environment.

What you will do

  • Maintain smooth operation of LAN, WAN, and VPN systems

  • Install, configure, and secure Microsoft Windows-based clients and servers

  • Plan and coordinate installation or reconfiguration of network hardware and software

  • Administer routers, switches, firewalls, bridges, multiplexers, and gateways

  • Implement STIGs and cybersecurity best practices across all systems

  • Use enterprise patching systems to apply updates and maintain compliance

  • Create and maintain network documentation, including procedures and system configurations

  • Monitor performance and plan for future system capacity and network growth

  • Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across enterprise systems

  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and third-party support as needed

What you must have

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR

  • Master’s degree in related field (no experience required), OR

  • High school diploma/equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience
