The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).
Integrated Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer with Radio Frequency (RF) and Internet Protocol (IP) Network experience and the leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense communication systems. This Principal Systems Engineer will be directly responsible for leading a large multidiscipline team in designing, implementing and maintaining various RF Systems and Network Infrastructures within the Patriot System. This position requires leading a team of multi-discipline engineers, providing technical and execution oversight, and managing multiple programs across the Patriot portfolio. What You Will Do:
In this Principal Systems Engineer role, you will support the following types of activities:
Manage a cross functional team including engineering, supply chain, production, leadership, etc.
Support all phases of programs from inception through completion, helping lead multi-disciplinary engineer teams through the lifecycle of the program
Coordinate with program leadership, finance, and planning to execute Earned Value Management (EVM)
Oversee design and optimize Patriot Communications Networks, including link availability studies and capacity planning
Work with Cyber Security counterparts to ensure network security and performance optimization
Provide ongoing support to various Patriot Communication Systems around the world
Assist the team with developing and mentoring new team members
Qualifications You Must Have :
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
Active U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value :
Experience in Patriot Program (or similar program) system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment
Certification in networking (e.g. CCNA, CCNP)
Earned Value Management Certified
Experience with RF signal analysis and/or various VHF/UHF radios
Experience working with internal and external customers
Experience writing reports and presenting information to internal and external stakeholders
