Period of employment / Hours:

Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties:

Primary Purpose / Focus :

This is an officer-level role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring demonstrated ability to support managing contracts with community sector organisations and government agencies and to work collegially with Homes Tasmania’s partners to support change within Tasmania’s housing and homelessness system.

The Assistant Contract Manager, as part of the Specialist Accommodation Programs unit, will provide coordination and support in the administration of contracts, provide accurate and timely advice to the team and to contracted providers, and ensure contractual obligations are being met. They will do this by keeping all stakeholders informed and providing timely and accurate advice to senior management and by working closely with service providers.

Selection criteria includes:

Well-developed time management skills and the demonstrated ability, both individually and as a member of a team, to plan, organise, set priorities to complete tasks to meet deadlines and achieve established benchmarks and standards.
Well-developed administrative skills coupled with the capacity to apply initiative and provide recommendations, solutions to modify approaches or adapt to new strategic directions.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, including verbal communication skills, and the demonstrated ability to build trust and work collaboratively with Homes Tasmania’s partners to maintain productive relationships.

Desirable Requirements:

Current Driver’s Licence.
Working towards or successful completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution.

Essential Requirements:
