Coding Service Customer Insights Senior Associate
We are looking for a Coding Service Customer Insights Senior Associate to join the Medical Coding team within our Customer Success division. In this role, the Coding Service Customer Insights Senior Associate will be responsible for providing direct clinical documentation improvement training and strategic utilization recommendations to athenaOne Medical Coding customers to enable them to maximize the value of our Medical Coding service. Your mission will be to develop and implement solutions to improve customer value. This individual should be a strong analytical problem solver, an excellent communicator, and possess the ability to demonstrate command of the technical and industry knowledge of Medical Coding standards and guidelines. The Coding Service Customer Insights Senior Associate will do this through engaging directly with our customers to provide clinical documentation best practices and improvements to ensure accurate and compliant reimbursement. In addition, this individual will identify solutions for internal product and service improvements to help our customers to be more efficient.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver athenaOne Medical Coding Clinical Documentation improvement trainings and best practices to our customers while providing a high level of customer service and client satisfaction while demonstrating a strong command of compliance requirements for Medical Coding
Package trainings, best practices and materials into effective communication tools for our customers that result in improved clinical documentation
Project manage multiple, simultaneous customer engagements, ensuring expectations and deliverables are documented and met, key stakeholders are informed and client satisfaction is achieved
Assess customer performance and identify outliers using service performance metrics
Proactively analyze and identify clinical documentation opportunities leveraging customer performance metrics pre and post service onboarding
Establish strong relationships with customers and key decision makers
Lead initiatives and projects that improve client and operational outcomes over a planning cycle, representing broad subject matter expertise
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate level of professional experience)
CPC and/or CCS certified from AAPC or AHIMA required
3+ years of professional experience in Medical Coding
2+ years of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement and provider coaching
Experience working directly with clinical providers and/or customers required
Experience working with cross-functional groups and teams to achieve common goals and communicating and presenting to stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various projects
Strong presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneNote
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Agile development methodologies preferred
