Classification Title: Administrative Analyst/Specialist, Non-Exempt

Classification Salary Range: $4,799 - $6,992 per month

Max starting salary $5,405 Per Month (Step 7)

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Office of Equity and Inclusion, the Operations and Compliance Specialist independently coordinates, analyzes, and supports the administrative and program operations of the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI). The incumbent is responsible for operational systems and front office functions; confidential case management records administration; compliance training coordination and reporting; office communications and outreach coordination; and provides lead work direction to student employees. The position requires independent judgment; interpretation and application of university/CSU policies and procedures; maintenance of confidential records; development and improvement of administrative and tracking systems; and preparation of audits, summaries, and reports to support OEI leadership in meeting operational and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of administrative work experience with Title IX involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  •   Knowledge of:
    • Principles and practices of administrative analysis, including data collection, evaluation, and reporting methods
    • Program coordination and operational workflow development
    • Records management standards and confidentiality requirements for sensitive information
    • Applicable university and CSU policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
    • Basic fiscal tracking and internal control practices
    • Training compliance monitoring and reporting practices
    • Office communication standards and stakeholder engagement principles
  • Ability to:
    • Analyze administrative and program data; identify trends, discrepancies, and compliance gaps; and recommend corrective actions
    • Develop, document, evaluate, and improve administrative procedures and operational systems
    • Interpret and apply university and CSU policies and procedural guidelines
    • Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing work and resolving operational issues
    • Maintain and safeguard highly confidential and sensitive information
    • Prepare clear, concise reports, summaries, and correspondence
    • Coordinate multiple workflows with accuracy and attention to detail
    • Provide lead work direction, training, and procedural guidance to student employees
    • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, staff, students, and system-level partners
    • Utilize case management systems, databases, spreadsheets, and standard office software to track and analyze information   

 Preferred Qualifications:

  •   Experience supporting compliance-related programs (e.g., Title IX, discrimination/harassment prevention, regulatory training, audit tracking, or policy implementation).
