Overview
As Vitable continues to grow, we’re building a strong core clinical leadership layer to support providers, ensure consistent high-quality care, and reduce friction as our clinician network expands. The ideal candidate is a practicing clinician who thrives at the intersection of care delivery, quality, and operations—and who is excited to help build scalable, high-quality clinical systems as Vitable grows.
This is a highly operational role, ideal for a clinician who enjoys real-time problem solving—supporting other providers, managing escalations, and improving workflows—while playing a critical role in ensuring safe, evidence-based, and consistent care across a growing clinician network and optimizing operations as new services, partners, and technologies scale.
Role Structure
- Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 (Remote)
- Time Allocation: ~ 60–70% patient care /~ 30–40% clinical administrative and leadership responsibilities. Exact allocation may flex based on organizational needs, provider strengths, and project cycles.

Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care via telehealth
- Practice at the top of license while modeling clinical excellence and professionalism
- Maintain timely, thorough documentation aligned with Vitable standards
- Serve as a clinical role model for best practices.
Clinical Operations & Administrative Coverage
- At least 1 clinical supervisor is expected to be on shift during clinical hours of operation to provide escalation coverage, provider support, and operational continuity
- Cover asynchronous visits and clinical escalations as part of the core clinical admin team
- Serve as a clinical escalation point for complex cases, safety concerns, or scope questions
- Support real-time provider questions and decision-making during coverage hours
- Identify clinical, operational, and technical issues impacting care delivery, provider experience, or patient safety and propose solutions
- Partner with CCO, operations to implement solutions, including workflow changes, SOP updates, template revisions, training, or tooling improvements
Quality & Improvement
- Help establish and maintain a QA program
- Conduct chart reviews, audits, and quality monitoring aligned with internal standards and external partner/funder expectations
- Identify patterns of risk, variation, or inefficiency and translate them into quality improvement (QI) initiatives
- Support development of standardized templates, protocols, and training to reinforce evidence-based care
Pod Leadership, Mentorship & Supervision
- Serve as a Pod Lead for a group of clinicians
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and structured feedback to support clinical growth and performance
- Support onboarding of new clinicians and ensure consistency as headcount scales
- Partner with supervisors and leadership on performance management and professional development
Clinical Program & Policy Development
- Contribute to clinical policies, SOPs, and service-line development as needed
- Help define provider competencies across services
- Focus on individual strengths while partnering with other team members or vendors to cover complementary skill sets
Building Scalable Clinical Systems
- Serve as a bridge between frontline clinicians and operations/product teams, bringing real-world clinical insights into scalable workflows, SOPs, and tooling.
- Play a key role in the upcoming EMR transition, contributing clinical input into templates, order sets, clinical decision support, workflows, and provider training.
