POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for beverage service and bar execution during events at the Tenant Lounge. This role blends mixology, brand hospitality, and event fluidity. The Banquet Bartender ensures guests receive thoughtful, prompt, and engaging service while maintaining Porter Hospitality’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and atmosphere. 

 

 

Position Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

  • Execute bar set-up according to BEO and Porter Lounge standards. 
  • Prepare all necessary garnishes, ice, tools, glassware, mixers, and backstock. 
  • Serve beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, and NA selections with polish and efficiency. 
  • Monitor guest consumption and maintain responsible alcohol service at all times. 
  • Communicate with floor team for timing of tray-passed beverages, refills, and clearing. 
  • Maintain bar cleanliness and organization throughout event. 
  • Ensure accurate breakdown and closing of bar including inventory, logs, and reset. 
  • Assist with polishing, bus tub maintenance, and team support pre- and post-event. 
  • Assist floor and culinary with any necessary plating, serving, setting or display maintenance. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 

  • Strong knowledge of event set-up, execution, tear down and reset. 
  • Confidence in answering any guest questions regarding the programming and offerings. 
  • Willingness to learn and grow through ongoing education with Porter Hospitality. 
  • Ability to work independently.

COMPENSATION & DETAILS 

Hourly position with access to shared service charges and gratuities where applicable. 

Banquet shifts are on-call, part-time or full-time depending on event calendar.
