BMS - Validation Component Lead
StellantisAbout the role
The Battery Management System (BMS) Validation Component Lead is responsible for driving the technical execution and validation outcomes for BMS software across assigned battery programs within the Vehicle & Propulsion Controls organization.
This role is accountable for developing and executing component‑level validation strategies, ensuring complete test coverage, verification of safety‑critical and diagnostic functions, and alignment with program and release objectives.
The BMS Validation Component Lead guides the technical activities of the validation team across multiple environments—including High Voltage HIL, battery test benches, and vehicle platforms—to ensure accurate and robust validation of BMS functionality, diagnostics, and safety behavior.
This position works cross‑functionally with Battery Systems, Hardware, Controls, Software Development, Diagnostics, and Functional Safety teams to define and execute comprehensive validation campaigns and ensure compliance with all Stellantis BMS and high‑voltage regulatory and software specifications.
The role also interfaces with external BMS suppliers to coordinate validation activities, support issue resolution, and ensure alignment between internal validation objectives and supplier deliverables.
The BMS Validation Component Lead provides clear visibility into validation status, technical risks, and coverage, supporting data‑driven decisions and ensuring readiness for software release and vehicle integration.
Key Activities: ACTIVITIES
Validation Strategy & Planning
