Job Summary
The Technical Laundry Supervisor oversees all laundry operations, ensuring quality standards, process efficiency, and compliance with corporate requirements. This role combines technical expertise in wet and dry processes with leadership responsibilities for managing staff, equipment, and workflow across facilities. The supervisor will lead continuous improvement initiatives, maintain chemical and process standards, and ensure timely production to meet customer and development needs.

Representative Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Supervise laundry specialists, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare daily laundry schedules and balances resources to meet production goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance standards.
• Administer company policies and enforce disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Keep accurate documentation (attendance, incident reports, production records, SOP).
• Always maintain confidentiality with information obtained while performing job responsibilities.
Technical Responsibilities
• Conduct weekly chemical inventory and analyze consumption vs. production forecast.
• Place chemical orders, track purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor supplier inventory and evaluate new suppliers for cost savings.
• Test and approve new chemicals for use.
• Maintain rewashes under 3.0% and irregulars under 1.20%.
• Audit wash formulas, calibrate washers and dryers, and run test loads to resolve quality issues.
Implement and maintain corporate wash standards and garment processes.
• Coordinate test cuts and prototype development with sewing and product development teams.
• Research and evaluate new dry process techniques.
• Design or modify workstations for efficiency and safety.
• Lead 8-step problem-solving projects and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Balance workflow, resolve bottlenecks, and improve process flow between laundry and sewing.
• Standardize wash formulas and maintain detailed records.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Communicate with development center, engineering, quality control, and facilities maintenance.
• Coordinate transportation and workflow between manufacturing and laundry facilities.
• Support engineering activities in sewing based on laundry workload.
• Collaborate and communicate with Production Supervisors to achieve company goals.
• Completes and participates in special projects as assigned.
Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or related field of study or equivalent years of experience.
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of industrial laundry/sewing experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Good computer skills; strong organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
• Manufacturing environment.
• Union and non-union environment.
• Available to work overtime as necessary.
• Daily travel between facilities required.
• Physical lifting (approximately 40 lbs.)
• This position has an On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities.
