SUMMARY

 

Responsible for performing a variety of warehouse tasks and duties.  Picks, packs, stores and distributes products by performing the following duties.  Accomplishes all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Determines method of shipment.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons or pallets.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Process LTL shipments and truckload shipments to customers.
  • Prepares International orders for shipment.
  • Prepares all shipping documentation.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Accurately assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to cargo packing station or shipping department.
  • Uses RF Scanning Gun to pick orders.  Uses PC to verify and or ship outbound orders.
  • Complies with OSHA requirements.
  • Ensures the rapid and accurate completion of all shipping.
  • May assist with receiving and packaging as needed.
  • Maintains clean, orderly work environment.
  • Participates in inventory counts.
  • Substantial overtime and weekend work may be required at times.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

Ability to operate warehouse equipment and work independently.  Experience working in similar role in manufacturing, transportation or warehouse setting.   Team player/detailed oriented.  Ability to perform physically intensive labor including  the associate is regularly required to talk; hear; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; reach with hands and arms; be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk for periods of time and stand for periods of time.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.  Must be able to perform duties in a warehouse environment whi
