Onsite Sr. Lab Technician

The Opportunity:

 In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Pay range: $24/hr. - $28/hr.

Hours: 7am - 4pm (Monday - Friday)

What we’re looking for 

• Education: Associates degree in a science related field required.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year equivalent experience in a laboratory setting and understanding of laboratory equipment

• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred   

• Preferred Qualifications: 

• Pliable, forward-thinking, motivated, and can act independently

• Superb proven understanding of laboratory operations

• Resourceful of biological and/or chemical processes

• Outstanding time management, communication, and organization skills

• Expertise of sterile handling techniques a plus

• Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests

• Effective communication & customer service skills

• Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Be held responsible for making measurements

• Document and perform measurements, performing several routine quantitative and

• Provide lab support for scientific operations.

• Assist with routine calibration and basic troubleshooting of lab equipment. (pipettes, balances, pH meters)

• Maintain laboratory notebook, testing records, or worksheets according to established laboratory and manufacturing procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Complete multiple qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
