About the Role: Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer – Infrastructure Architect who will play a critical role in maintaining and evolving our IT infrastructure, ensuring operational stability, and supporting strategic initiatives. The Senior Systems Engineer – Infrastructure Architect will have the opportunity to apply valuable experience to major firmwide projects.

How will you make a difference as a Senior Systems Engineer - Infrastructure Architect at Fragomen?
- Identify and define requirements, design, develop, install, configure, test, and implement information systems technology solutions in a global enterprise environment.
- Provision, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure, ensuring seamless integration with on-premises systems.
- Provide support and maintenance of the firm’s global server platform, including proactive system monitoring and OS patching using tools such as Logic Monitor, SCCM, and Ansible.
- Manage and support the Active Directory environment, including user authentication, policies, and security controls.
- Support and manage Windows Server environments (Server 2019, 2022, 2025) and RedHat Linux (RHEL 9 and above).
- Ensure systems achieve 99.99999% uptime in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Analyze, plan, test, and document implementations of new hardware and software systems.
- Engineer and maintain the firm’s virtualization platforms, including VMware (7.x+) and cloud-based virtualization solutions (AWS, Azure, VMC).
- Manage and configure storage area networks, including Pure Storage and NetApp technologies.
- Deploy and support Cisco UCS (FlashStack) and Nutanix compute infrastructure.
- Administer IPAM/DNS/DHCP within the firm’s Infoblox Grid.
- Implement and support DFS and file sharing solutions.
- Manage and maintain the firm’s backup infrastructure using Veeam.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and be available for after-hours support as required.
- Document system designs, procedures, and operational processes.
- Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and reporting after system outages.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for security and system hardening (NIST, CIS, PCI).
- Collaborate with network and security teams to implement secure cloud and on-prem solutions.

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience of 5+ years in a system administration and/or enterprise IT engineering role.
- 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
- Proven experience in global enterprise systems integration, including Windows and Linux-based solutions.
- Expertise in Active Directory administration, group policies, and authentication solutions.
- Experience in managing hybrid cloud environments and hyper-converged infrastructure.
- Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Azure Automation, and Windows DSC.
- Strong experience with Windows Clustering technologies (e.g., Always-On Availability Groups).
- Knowledge of enterprise storage solutions, including NetApp and Pure Storage.
- Understanding of Cisco UCS and Nutanix compute platforms.
- Experience in enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise networking, storage, security, and server technologies.
- Experience supporting web-based and database-centric applications.
- Ability to document system requirements, design solutions, and create operational manuals.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel to other offices as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and research skills.
