The Opportunity:
Planning, forecasting and allocating product are the crucial first steps in the product’s journey to our clients. It takes analytical, strategic, and results-oriented inventory management professionals to build our brand partnerships, forecast client behaviors and optimize inventory levels across our network. Operations and logistics complete the products’ journey into our clients’ hands. As a Merchandise Planning Assistant, you will be assisting the Sephora Supply Chain teams (planning, distribution, and distribution centers) in purchase order tracking. Reporting to the Planning Manager or Senior Planner, you will communicate with brands to ensure on time shipping and receipts and partner to resolve trouble lane issues. Prepare RTV documents for Planner, Merchant and Brand Partner review and approval. In addition, you will:
- Maintain purchase order tracking tool and processes and share with cross-functional teams
- Adjust purchase orders as needed and manage short ship orders
- Track all newness inventory inbound to distribution centers and report late orders to cross-functional teams; partner with internal teams and brands to resolve
- Create manual purchase orders as needed
- Resolve issues surrounding inbound shipments and vendor errors (overs, shorts, damage, etc.)
- Partner with the DC leadership teams to resolve complications involving transportation of POs
- Prepare RTV documents and maintain RTVs as needed
- Communicate urgent orders to distribution centers for prioritization
- Create and manage tester orders for new stores
- Additional department projects as needed

The annual base salary range for this position is $27.50 - $30.70 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
