CERAWeek is the premier gathering of the global energy industry. Renowned as one of the world’s top business conferences, CERAWeek, held every March in Houston, Texas, convenes senior executives across energy and its adjacent industries, policymakers, and government officials for strategic discussions on the future of energy.

The CERAWeek Program Committee is the principal group that organizes thematic content for the conference. The committee is comprised of S&P Global thought leaders and the leads of CERAWeek’s three program platforms: Executive Conference (EC), Agora, and Partner Programs. The main role of the Committee is to set CERAWeek’s themes, topics, and program flow, and collaborate with partners on key messaging.


Responsibilities and Impact:

The Program Analyst will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Program Committee. This role will focus on executing defined tasks that help ensure the smooth flow of information, accurate program data, and timely follow-up on Committee action items. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment against multiple competing deadlines. An interest in or willingness to learn about the energy sector is highly desirable.

  • Meeting & Stakeholder Support
    • Prepare agendas, take comprehensive meeting notes, track follow-up actions, and ensure timely distribution.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Experience, Sales, Marketing) to address program-related requests.
  • Program Data & Documentation
    • Enter, update, and verify program information in Airtable and other platforms.
    • Perform daily downloads of program data for version control and maintain organized archives.
    • Identify and resolve duplicate or inconsistent data entries, ensuring data integrity.
    • Provide guidance on data entry standards and best practices.
  • Information Flow & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and timely updates across systems used by multiple teams.
    • Ensure outputs from brainstorming and planning sessions are correctly reflected in Airtable.
    • Create simple dashboards, reports, and summaries based on program data to support decision-making.
  • Document Preparation & Quality Control
    • Edit and format documents for clarity, accuracy, and professional presentation.
    • Review and improve existing templates, documents, and processes for efficiency.
  • Research Assistant to Program team
    • Conduct targeted research on a variety of topics within the energy sector, including emerging technologies, policy changes, market trends, and key industry challenges.
    • Monitor relevant news, academic papers, and publications from think tanks, government agencies, and research institutions to identify timely and critical issues.
    • Track the activities of key companies, startups, and innovators in the energy space to identify potential speakers, partners, and content opportunities.
    • Collaborate closely with the program and content development teams to translate research findings into actionable insights for conference sessions and agenda planning.
    • Assist in the development of background materials and briefing documents for conference.
    • Maintain and update a database of research findings, key contacts, and topics to support ongoing program strategy.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred, ideally in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in events, program operations, or project coordination, preferably in a conference or large-scale event environment.
