Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $26.85.

  • OB OBJECTIVE:

    Under the general supervision of the Physical Distribution Manager, and the direct supervision of the Shipping Supervisor, performs any duties necessary to ensure the safe, quality driven, efficient, and continuous operation of warehouse processes.  Will coordinate efforts with other crew members, engineers, technologists, or support personnel.  Maintains machines and work areas in clean, good operating condition.  Works from general verbal and written instructions, and in accordance with established operating procedures, performs the following essential functions. Working from general instructions from the plant management team, and all levels within the organization in support of the four Johns Manville core values: People, Passion, Performance, and Protection.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Warehouser/General

    Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements Follows JSAs, uses and promotes safe work practices, and reports hazardous conditions at all times.  Wears protective clothing and equipment as required.  At the beginning of each shift or prior to first use, all mobile equipment will need to be inspected for deficiencies and a check list filled out. The warehouser will have to have general knowledge of lift mounted and office computers where they will need to be able to operate SAP including scanning product and printing necessary documents for shipping. Warehouse must understand how to safely pull material from the production units and place into the proper storage locations in warehouse ensuring stacks are stable and/or load into trailers to be sent to outside warehouse with proper loading techniques not to damage the product. Warehouse must be maintained in an orderly manner, maintain good/safe stacks, rotating product to maintain FIFO Material in warehouse needs to be pulled in a safe manner using FIFO for shipping, scanning the material before loading into the trailers insuring correct material with proper count.  Trailers must be loaded to maximize trailer usage going to customer. Material coming into warehouse must be off loaded safely and properly to insure not to damage while pulling out of the trailers. Counts on inbound and outbound trailer must be counted and any discrepancies found with count of damage must be reported to the supervisor. Warehouser must assist in inventory control including FIFO, cycle counts, and physical inventory. Wears all required PPE.

    Warehouser/Case Sealer

    Maintain the case sealer for proper operation and sealing of the cartons.  Inspecting the glue lines to insure the glue tips are allowing proper flow and keeping the case sealer clean from access glue. Program case sealer for the proper labels being applied to the cartons, being able to reset the labelers, put new rolls of labels on, and put new rolls of ribbon on for good printing.  Be able to trouble shot the labels for printing and applying issues.  Print off labels on the desk top printer for relabeling when needed. Assign the material to the sort lanes, keeping good flow of the material through the case sealer and labeling.  Using proper LTCT when needed to clear box jams from the conveyer system.

    Warehouser/Receiver

    Safely unload the bulk tanker of raw materials including resins, urea, oil, and ammonia using proper PPE for each application and area.  Using the proper unloading methods to insure no release of the products. Unloading trailers of raw materials coming in, putting material in storage locations and assisting in the FIFO of the material so the use of the old material is possible. Receiving of the materials in the computer to reflect the inventory of material that we have in the plant.  Communicating any discrepancies found in the counts or damage of the incoming material.
