About the role

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sr. Associate, PX, GWE, Asset Lifecycle Management Lead is responsible for systematic tracking, installation, and removal of laboratory equipment throughout their entire lifecycle, from acquisition through deployment, maintenance, and final disposal. Operating within an R&D environment, this role facilitates asset preplanning, site assessments, and ensures all asset-related activities are documented, tracked, and compliant with regulatory standards. By optimizing equipment usage, managing inventory, coordinating maintenance, and driving process improvements, the ALM supports efficient and safe laboratory operations while controlling costs and preparing the lab for evolving technological needs.

Control access to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role will review training requirements, provide OJT and represent the site on multi-site or global teams. This role will also provide communication from external events or sites regarding the use or events taking place that could impact the CMMS. 

Responsible for managing all onsite and external warehousing and storage. This includes but is not limited to inventory, transportation, recall, cleanliness and operation of the warehouse.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide services related to all aspects of asset lifecycle. Manage the on boarding, installation, information to the Fixed Asset Registry and final disposition of asset. Provide assistance to account for assets during walk through inventories.

  • Track assets through their lifecycle starting with the request for new or transferred assets to the retirement or disposal of the asset.

  • Provide necessary data to maintenance teams to support the asset including the installation and ongoing maintenance.

  • Assist customers with keeping the Fixed Asset Registry (FAR) current.

  • Assist with reporting from the FAR.

  • Tag or track all assets.

  • Provide reports on assets when requested.

  • Track assets stored off site.

  • Manage the process utilized to monetize assets. Manage the storage and transportation to auction. Manage the list of what was sold and reconcile the FAR. 

  • Identify the role needed and the necessary training to acquire that access level in the CMMS as well as have that training assigned.

  • Review the training completion to assign the role.

  • Manage the CMMS system.

  • Understand and troubleshoot communication between the CAFM and the CMMS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience with asset support leadership role

  • Education or background in asset management.

  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and track to completion.

  • Understanding of procurement systems and their utilization in acquiring capital.

  • Experience in system administration and control, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting and or a Computerized Maintenance Management system such as Maximo, Tririga or EAMs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Finance/Computer Science or other related fields of study.

  • Certified Reliability Professional

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Due to the nature of work assignment, the Asset Lifecycle Manager must be able to perform detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and under time constraints.  On a daily basis, the position responsibilities may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, to walk the site for extended periods of time; to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds; to sit/stand at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.  On a frequent basis, essential duties of the position may require the ability to climb stairs, to kneel and/or crouch to retrieve items.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Day shift with occasional after hours or weekend response required.

  • Periodic travel may be required in support of Global Workplace Solutions & Services business needs.

  • Respond to the site in support of business continuity, emergency response and off-shift schedules periodically.

  • Entry and work in laboratory spaces, GxP aseptic space, mechanical/electrical
