Position Overview
As an Office Assistant, you will serve as a part of a diverse team who helps assist with the daily functions required in the Mental Health Unit at Pinckneyville Correctional Center. The ideal candidate will be able to
multitask and respond quickly to requests while supporting the needs of the Mental Health services department. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
Essential Functions
- Provides clerical support to Mental Health department.
- Keyboards a variety of difficult material including records, reports, correspondence, and other documents.
- Reviews schedules to verify individuals in custody are being provided mental health services.
- Copies treatment review hearing reports and mails to agency medical director.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and one (1) year of related office experience.
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 35 words per minute.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
