ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a calibration professional to lead our internal calibration program. This role will be on the Production and Operations Quality team, partnering across the product development organization, production organization, and field operations organizations. This role will be dynamic and full of new engagement, challenges, and opportunities to bring the core elements of success for a calibration program - managing tracking software, schedules, accuracy & precision of equipment, equipment history, traceability methods, accreditation and reporting. As Anduril grows, the role and support around calibration will grow too. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage calibration activities for calibrated devices at local factory in Atlanta, GA, forward deployed sites, and test sites
- Ability to calibrate basic measurement hand tools and oversee the training of internal calibration stakeholders
- Manage the database and ensure that it is updated when appropriate, including but not limited to updating location and owners of tools
- Create infrastructure for equipment flagged for calibration (i.e. Drop location for assets requiring calibration, standardization of calibration intake information, providing instructions for 3rd party vendor)
- Manage the communication of calibration recalls to M&TE (measurement and test equipment) owners and interested parties. Ensuring equipment rotations do not starve users or production
- Manage the physical recall of devices requiring calibration
- Create processes and procedures documenting the standard operations of the calibration process by defining roles and responsibilities for involved and interested parties. Conduct spot audits as needed for compliance to calibration procedures
- Manage the coordination of calibration activities with our calibration vendors, including but not limited to requesting quotes for services, creating purchase orders, scheduling on-site calibration
- Manage the creation, upkeep and communication of calibration procedures, documented information and communication thereof
- Ensure certificates of calibration are available when required by testing standards
- When required by regulations, customer or otherwise, ensures calibrated tooling is calibrated to required calibration standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
- CAPM or PMP certification a plus
- 4+ years of experience in a mix of engineering and project management fields
- Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques/tools
- Experience working in DoD environment and in small teams
- Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow
