About the Role:

  • This role will focus on execution of that planned roadmap, tracking the implementation of information/data governance and privacy requirements across a variety of workstreams and providing technical and management expertise to ensure those requirements are implemented in a comprehensive and timely manner.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Security, IT, and other relevant departments to assess risks, identify compliance gaps (with internal and external requirements and standards), and drive implementation of mitigation strategies.

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to implement and streamline information management processes, data classification and data tagging processes and technical implementations, data access and retention controls, document disposal procedures, and AI governance policies and standard methodologies.

  • Partner with our Litigation team to ensure e-discovery and document management requirements related to litigation are integrated into Cruise’s overarching information and data governance framework and implemented in Cruise systems and processes.

  • Provide guidance and support to internal Cruise teams, including Engineering, Product Management, and Data Science, to ensure data governance policies and processes are embedded throughout the product development and deployment lifecycle.

  • Stay informed on emerging regulations and industry standards related to information/data governance and compliance, and apply relevant developments to internal Cruise policies and practices.

What you must have:

  • 8+ years experience in technical program management, preferably in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong understanding of information and data governance, data protection laws, privacy regulations, and security standards, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, CCPA, UN R155, and UN R156
