The Opportunity

Abbott Medical Devices, with revenue of $19B in 2024, is a global leader in providing life changing technology for the management and treatment of people living with chronic conditions including Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Chronic Pain, and Movement Disorders.

The Digital Solutions organization reports in the Medical Devices group and is responsible for leveraging digitally enabled technology to increase patient access to care and provide our customers with best-in-class experiences that support our collective mission to improve patient outcomes.

 This position will be onsite in Sylmar, CA.

What You’ll Work On

The Associate Program Director, Digital Health leads the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of digital health initiatives, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI) integration and electronic health record (EHR) interoperability. This role bridges clinical, technical, and business teams to implement innovative digital solutions that enhance patient care, engagement, and operational efficiency.  You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders internally, as well as external partners, to build our next generation digital offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Portfolio Leadership: Oversee the lifecycle of digital health programs from concept through deployment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • AI Initiatives Core Team Lead: Program leadership for AI initiatives focused on optimizing the delivery of care for cardiovascular, metabolic, and neuropathic diseases
  • EHR Interoperability Initiatives Core Team Lead: Program lead for projects focused on enhancing data exchange and interoperability across EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), ensuring seamless integration with digital health platforms.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to define digital health roadmap, with emphasis on emerging technologies
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead cross-disciplinary teams including engineering, clinical, product, and external vendors.
  • Project Management: Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, leadership and external partners.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure programs meet regulatory, privacy, and security standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, privacy).
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to leadership on program status, KPIs, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., engineering, data science, software)
  • 10 years of program management or equivalent working experience
  • Proven track record managing
