What you'll do...

As a Software Engineer III you are responsible for developing high performance and scalable Sam’s item services that meet the needs of millions of Sam’s Club customers. Design and develop integrations with next generation application that is built largely on an event driven platform implemented via a micro-service architecture. We are looking to bring more intellectually curious engineers who are passionate about technology in general.
 

What you'll do:

• Team Guidance and Support: Provides direction to small teams (including offshore associates) for engineering projects by supplying relevant documents, instructions, examples, and timelines.

• Business Support: Assists in addressing user questions, technical feasibility concerns, and implementation strategies. Conducts research to identify solutions, designs, and addresses short- and long-term needs.

• Project Management: Oversees complex projects by translating requirements into technical solutions, researching alternatives, and determining the best approach based on ROI and business value. Manages project status, team collaboration, unit testing, and timely delivery.

• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering data, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with support teams to resolve problems. Develops action plans and ensures proper documentation.

• Discovery and Design: Participates in the discovery phase of projects, working with cross-functional teams to develop high-level designs.

• Expert Guidance: Provides expertise to improve business plans and processes, offering advice on best practices, and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Builds relationships with key stakeholders, identifies business needs, and ensures implementation of solutions by adapting to changing demands and responsibilities.

• Compliance and Ethics: Promotes adherence to company policies, values, and ethical standards, ensuring these are incorporated into business practices and development.
