HRIS Business Analyst

Key Purpose
The HRIS Business Analyst will assist with the administration and support of the HRIS & Payroll systems, HR policies, procedures and programs for all of ISS in the US and Canada. They will also be responsible for responding to employee, vendor, government and management requests for data and information. This role requires communication, collaboration, and teamwork within the HRIS department as well as other departments across the business as it will support a variety of areas and functions during any given time period. They will also be responsible for proactively organizing data across systems and insuring better recording and insights.
Key Areas of Responsibility, Collaboration & Influence:
- Pulls data from multiple sources and consolidates to prepare reports for management, vendors, and regulatory agencies
- Oversees existing HRIS functionality, implementation of updates and maintenance
- Proposes and implements process improvements to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient HR practices
- Reviews and analyzes audit reports to ensure data integrity across HRIS and Payroll systems
- Provides support to HR team and the Business in the areas of people metrics, reporting and advanced and predictive analytics
- Assists with new HRIS applications by providing development support, testing, and functional specifications along with implementation
- Participates as a key team member in identifying data needs, developing and supporting reporting tool enhancements and preparing reports and reporting solutions.
- Assists with other HR processes, such as performance reviews, policy development, interpretation, and documentation
- Responds to support tickets in accordance with service level agreements
- Assists with HR projects and initiatives that support operational excellence
- Creates departmental reports needed for metrics and analytics
- Maintains basic knowledge and understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements affecting HR practices; stays current on federal and state employment laws
- Demonstrates courteous, friendly, and efficient service to team members and internal clients
- Assists with global HRIS initiatives
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-year HRIS work experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Expert Knowledge of JD Edwards process and principles
- Experience with report writing tools
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and other government compliance regulations
- Good communications skills, verbal and written
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups
- Natural curiosity for process improvement, finding solutions and a desire to learn
- Ability to plan, coordinate the execute projects and organize & prioritize work
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of Organizational and HR data is a must
