The Functional Business Support (FBS) team members are the business architects of AFS financial systems; They manages process area connections across AFS’ complex ecosystem of interdependent systems and overall operating model.  FBS works to ensure that AFS people, processes, procedures, and technology remain Fit for Federal. The team develops and executes strategies for high-impact use of new, disruptive technologies to improve enterprise innovation, automation, efficiency, and insights. 

 

FBS Manager Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure the people, process and technology solution remains Fit for Federal
• Lead continuous improvement opportunities and support business case development for enhancements as process re-engineer.
• Manage the application security approval process, SOD, and audits.
• Coordinate with system application owners and the internal controls group to assess, define and implement SOX IT system controls at the application security level.
• Conduct operational control reviews, execute monitoring of key controls, develop, and implement process improvement activities to mature key IT system controls within the access management and reporting space.
• Ensure successful internal and external audit assessment response by preparing stakeholders, creating, and reviewing sample PBCs for submission in a liaison capacity between IT, Internal Controls, and Internal Audit.
• Review all master data and configuration changes to retain business continuity in system/process.
• Manage the change control process for Procedures, Manuals and Controls, assessing cross-business impact.
• Contribute to business involvement and ensure functional integrity for all releases.
• Drive resolution of escalated defects and Root Cause Analysis
• Provide content knowledge for cross-business functional training.
• Supervise a team of FBS Specialists and Analysts

Here’s What You Need:

• Must be a US Citizen
• 5 years of relevant work experience
• 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following process areas: Record to Report, Sales to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Forecasting Budgeting & Pricing, and Time & Expense
• 3+ years of experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
• Experience with financial system audit readiness, response, or remediation
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Experience performing audit functions (internal or external) around IT controls and key financial management systems to produce auditable financial statements.
