This is a remote position.
Schedule:- 24 hours per week (with potential to expand to 35-40 hours per week)
- Work days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
- Daily hours: 4 hours per day
- Client timezone: AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Job Description:
As a Short-Term Rental Property Management Assistant, you’ll be a key player in daily operations — managing guest communication, coordinating services, and ensuring smooth, professional experiences across all guest touchpoints. This remote role requires more than just task execution — you'll be expected to think critically, respond with care, and confidently make decisions that reflect the company’s commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally respond to guest inquiries via platforms like Guesty, Airbnb, Booking.com, and email
- Offer thoughtful, personalized responses rather than relying solely on templates, ensuring guests feel heard and valued
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, calendar updates, and reservation changes with accuracy and foresight
- Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance teams to maintain top-tier property standards between stays
- Resolve guest concerns efficiently while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented approach
- Maintain well-organized documentation of communications, tasks, and issues
- Collaborate closely with the property owner to improve internal processes and elevate the guest experience
- Stay informed on local attractions and events to enhance guest recommendations
Requirements

- Strong written English: Clear, professional, and friendly tone — able to craft thoughtful responses without oversight
- Independent decision-maker: You can confidently assess situations and take appropriate action without needing constant supervision
- Contextual understanding: You see the big picture and tailor your responses based on each guest’s unique situation, rather than relying on generic replies
- Tech-savvy and fast learner: Proficient with digital tools like Airbnb, Guesty, Booking.com, and open to learning new systems quickly
- Customer-first mindset: Friendly, responsive, and always looking for ways to improve the guest experience
- Reliable and self-managed: You’re consistent, meet deadlines, and hold yourself to high standards without needing to be checked
- Calm under pressure: Able to stay composed and responsive during busy periods or unexpected issues
- Bonus: Familiarity with Melbourne and its local attractions
Additional Requirements
- Available 6 days per week for 4 hours/day, including weekends
- Must work within AEST time zone
- Comfortable with occasional video meetings for alignment and feedback
