Job Highlights:Are you passionate about data in support of national defense initiatives? Do you want to assist users in connecting to the data that they need to solve mission-critical problems more efficiently? Join our team building a data fabric construct connecting user needs to disparate GEOINT data suppliers for an intelligence community customer. This system will incorporate Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to match data consumers with repositories, and to monitor system usage. In this Data Architect role, you will be responsible for the initial design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of this system. You will use data modeling tools to design, build, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. You will also work closely with product management and systems engineering teams to fit their capabilities into the larger direction of the overall system.

As a Data Architect you will...

• Use data modeling tools to design, build, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Design, create, maintain, and improve the data infrastructure to successfully implement a data fabric in an enterprise framework that automates data discovery, governance, and self-service consumption
• Develop and recommend modern architecture components
• Develop policies for data governance
• Create data architecture diagrams
• Plan and develop the architectural runway to support new business features and capabilities

Data Architect Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical degree
• 8+ years’ experience across data architecture, modeling, and data schema design and development
• 5+ years’ experience in implementation of data technologies and capabilities such as data fabric, data mesh, data warehouse, data lake, or data lakehouse
• 5+ years’ experience with graph, NoSQL, SQL, or other relational and non-relational database technologies, with 3+ years’ experience in graph databases

Additional Skills we would like to see:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• 2+ years’ experience enhancing data fabric architectures to support new features, implementing data fabric governance, and improving the performance and scalability of data fabrics
• 2+ years’ experience designing complex and inter-dependent data models for analytic and Machine Learning use cases
• 2+ years’ experience architecting the integration of COTS software applications, specialized software, or databases
• 2+ years’ experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• 2+ years’ experience in Big Data solutions, data architectures, data governance, data integration, business analytics, AI/ML, or simulation analytics
• 5+ years’ experience with DoDAF and enterprise architectures.
