About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysis of operational and financial data to provide company leaders, investors, physicians and other interested parties insight into the company's financial performance and business trends. The candidate will provide support to the Vice President, Finance in developing and presenting financial statements and analyses of financial and operational performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Prepares financial statements and reports for the group, individual physicians, ancillary and cost centers monthly and on an as-needed basis.
Performs various reviews and analysis during the month end close process to support the Accounting team and ensure accuracy of the financial results.
Collaborate with operations teams and physician partner groups to develop financial forecasts, budgets and performance reporting
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis to support market needs (e.g., returns analysis, staffing capacity)
Develops presentations and communicates to senior management or external parties
Facilitate monthly operational reviews with various levels of leadership across the organization.
Review and oversee physician compensation, related models, and changes.
What We Expect from You
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by courses in accounting and computers. Masters preferred.
5-8 years of progressive experience in budgeting, accounting, financial management reporting, and healthcare operations. Medical group practice experience is preferred.
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, other employees, managers, and the public.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
