Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Human Resources Analyst administers and coordinates faculty employment processes, including contract management, compensation, credentialing, evaluations, and related personnel actions in compliance with Virginia Community College System (VCCS) policies, state regulations, accreditation standards, and Reynolds Community College procedures. Serving as the College’s primary resource for faculty employment administration, this position collaborates with Academic Affairs, Finance, Payroll, and Human Resources to ensure timely and accurate processing of faculty employment actions while maintaining the integrity of faculty personnel records and employment data. The position also manages faculty data related to rank, discipline assignments, promotion eligibility, multi-year appointments, and credentialing.
Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of human resources principles and practices related to employment administration, compensation, records management, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of data management, records administration, and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or other enterprise systems.
  • Experience maintaining confidential records, interpreting policies, and managing complex data within an HRIS or enterprise system.
  • Experience administering human resources, employment, compensation, payroll, faculty affairs, or related personnel processes.
Additional Considerations
  • Experience working in higher education, preferably within the Virginia Community College System.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply VCCS policies, state regulations, accreditation requirements, and institutional procedures.
  • Experience administering faculty contracts, compensation, credentialing, evaluations, or academic personnel processes.
  • Experience maintaining VCCS-10 Faculty Qualification documentation and supporting credential files.
  • Experience with data reporting, auditing, and continuous process improvement.
  • Professional Human Resources certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent).
Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
Travel between campuses as needed.
