Position Overview We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Vita Flex Therapeutics in Tallahassee, Florida. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care, focusing on the rehabilitation of individuals in the comfort of their own homes. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, ensuring that our patients achieve optimal recovery outcomes. Work Environment This position is entirely onsite, providing home care services within the Tallahassee area. You will be working in various residential settings, adapting therapy plans to meet unique home environments and ensuring that the therapy is tailored to fit each patient’s specific needs. The hours are generally Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility needed to provide the best care for our patients. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address mobility, strength, and overall functionality improvements based on initial evaluations. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises tailored to their physical capabilities and rehabilitation goals. Educate patients on proper body mechanics and effective exercise techniques while facilitating home exercise programs to ensure continued progress outside therapy sessions. Administer therapeutic modalities like electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy to support healing under the supervision of a lead Physical Therapist. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking key metrics such as range of motion and strength gains, and adjust treatment plans accordingly for optimized outcomes. Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all equipment is clean, organized, and readily available for sessions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals—including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists—to ensure comprehensive patient care and recovery. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a healing and motivating therapeutic environment. Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism in accordance with industry regulations and practices. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will primarily focus on diverse patient populations experiencing various rehabilitation challenges. These may range from post-surgical patients requiring intensive recovery programs to elderly clients aiming to enhance their mobility and independence. By tailoring your approach to each individual’s circumstances and capabilities, you’ll help to foster trust and engagement in their recovery journey. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Current and valid state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida. Strong assessment skills and the capability to create effective, evidence-based treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Experience A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical, home care, or rehabilitation setting is required. Experience working with a diverse patient population, particularly in home health care environments. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
