PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $85,800.00-$104,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $66,600.00 - $124,300.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. As a Financial Accountant II at BECU, you’ll be more than just a numbers expert—you’ll be a key driver in ensuring financial integrity and operational excellence. You’ll use your accounting expertise to analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial data that supports critical decision-making across the credit union. Your work will ensure every transaction is accurate, compliant, and transparent, allowing BECU to continue serving members with confidence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Analyze and Reconcile Accounts: Monitor and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts—including member transactions, loans, fixed assets, payroll, and more—while resolving complex discrepancies with accuracy and care.
• Ensure Accurate Classification: Review transactions to ensure correct classification of expenses and appropriate general ledger use, keeping financial records clean and compliant.
• Safeguard Financial Integrity: Maintain the integrity of accounting data by ensuring completeness, accurate classification, compliance with procedures, and proper documentation.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with employees throughout BECU to ensure accurate transaction recording and resolve accounting or operational concerns—acting as a trusted advisor.
