About the role
The Senior Oracle Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle Financials applications and solutions. This role requires extensive experience with Oracle Financials modules, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and business teams to support financial operations and reporting. This position is fully remote and requires an active Public Trust clearance.
Daily Tasks
- Design, develop, and customize Oracle Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
- Develop and enhance functionalities using Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
- Integrate Oracle Financials with other enterprise systems and third-party applications as needed.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for financial systems enhancements and customizations.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Oracle Financials applications, including query tuning and application optimization.
- Implement best practices for data management and application efficiency to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Provide technical support for Oracle Financials-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving application bugs and performance problems.
- Work with other IT teams to resolve integration issues and ensure seamless operation of financial systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for customizations, configurations, and processes related to Oracle Financials.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders to communicate system performance, project status, and recommendations.
- Lead or participate in Oracle Financials development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and provide regular updates on progress.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Foster a collaborative environment and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is required; other advanced certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Financials development, including extensive experience with Oracle Financials modules and related technologies.
- Expertise in Oracle Financials applications (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable), Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex financial system issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects to successful completion.
- Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance.
