About the role

The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking a Grants, Opportunities, and Public Affairs Intern for our Santa Monica, California office. As part of the Grants, Opportunities, and Public Affairs team, you will be supporting proposal development and application submission, grant research, and the creation of informational one-sheets, policy memos, and research briefs. You will be contributing to a variety of tasks in relation to proposal development, proposal production, and database administration. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and a strong writer, communicator, and researcher, with commitment to sustainability and shaping the future of electric transportation.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to a variety of tasks in relation to comprehensive proposal development, production, and administration.
  • Support proposal kick-offs, team reviews, and other meetings as assigned, track proposal progress, assign tasks to teammates, and ensure deliverables comply with stated requirements and are submitted thoroughly and timely.
  • Complete detailed analysis of documents to ascertain critical information.
  • Maintain a tracking database for all proposal-related activities.
  • Support grant opportunities including researching, writing, and collaborating across multiple departments (operations, engineering, products, sales, and service).
  • Collaborate with the InCharge team and partners to pursue local, state, and federal funding opportunities.

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • Recent college graduate with a major in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with ability to perform detailed analysis of documents.
  • Careful attention to detail, well organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Ability to work with and communicate cross-departmentally, with strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude.
  • Previous experience coordinating proposals a plus.
  • Proficient MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat user.
  • Passionate about the environment and building the future of electric transportation.
US Hourly Range$18—$20 USD
