About the role

WWC Global is seeking a dedicated professional with a proven track record of success to join our team. The Administrative Assistant will support the Office of Naval Research (ONR) in Arlington, VA. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting senior government personnel within the ONR Research Protections Division, a component of the Department of the Navy (DON) Human Research Protection Program (HRPP).

The Administrative Assistant will:

  • Support on-site operations
  • Schedule and reserve conference rooms
  • Prepare and distribute agenda and read ahead materials for meetings
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes
  • Maintain calendars for senior leaders and schedule appointments
  • Track team travel for briefing purposes.
  • Manage upcoming events and tracking action items and associated deadlines
  • Coordinate for site inspection and assist visits
  • Prepare, route, track, scan, distribute and file correspondence
  • Create and maintain electronic and hard copy files
  • Perform data entry, filing, faxing, copying, and assembly of administrative packages
  • Assist with general office administration, and other administrative duties as assigned
  • Manage files within the Navy Human Research Protections Information Technology Management System (RPITMS)

This position is contingent on vacancy.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

  • 0-20% / Occasional travel.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

  • 6 years of experience providing administrative support.
