What You Will Do

The Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Production Engineer (PE) Intern will assist in providing manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance to facilitate disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines at the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, as well as piece part repairs at Special Technologies Coatings (STC).

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Read and provide interpretation of technical data as necessary to support production
  • Participate in teams reviewing and investigating process breakdowns
  • Assist in authoring work control documents used for maintaining engine/module hardware
  • Assist in dispositioning work control document changes using standard work processes and approved technical references for released work control documents
  • Utilize robust standard work and desktop procedures for PE processes
  • Support 1-2 continuous improvement projects at the engine or piece part shops
  • Perform any other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management to ensure the success of the enterprise

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master’s program in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/university
  • Proficiency with O365 products
  • Ability to work in a team environment with high emotional intelligence

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Experience with SAP
  • Technical writing knowledge

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
