SAP Basis Administrator

You will be responsible for all SAP Basis related activities for Protective Life. This will involve working closely with Protective Life cloud provider, associated AMS team, and managing the Protective Life Basis activities.  This individual will work in partnership with other IT resources, business leaders, stakeholders, the SAP cross functional team and end users to successfully strategize, implement, test, and support the SAP S/4 HANA systems. Protective Life uses SAP S/4HANA v2020 and several other SAP products in a cross-functional team approach.
The ideal candidate would be expected to:  
-Support SAP implementation projects, addressing any SAP Basis requirements-Support the many different components in Protective SAP environments.  SOLMAN, S/4 Hana, Fiori, Charm, BOBJ, PO, SAP Netweaver, Sybase, Linux, and others.-Manage technical upgrades/updates throughout the landscape-Manage overall SAP note implementations and drive technical SAP incidents to resolution-Ability to work with business to understand their requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs -Self-driven ability to understand, uncover, resolve, and recommend options to solve complex business issues with technology solutions -Ability to take ownership and lead projects in agile, waterfall, and hybrid techniques with minimal guidance  -Act as a resource for colleagues, training and sharing knowledge with others-Organizational skills sufficient to meet service objectives despite complexities of work -Champion Protective’s four corporate values in your workoDo the right thingoServe peopleoBuild trustoAspire for better-Management of routine audit control functions related to SAP Basis and architecture-Cross Training Support for other SAP S/4 HANA Cross-functional team-Other duties as assigned 

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience working with hosting company for managed services or as an SAP Basis consultant
• 7+ years of SAP Basis administrator experience
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience
• Experience working with IT systems, developers and business analysts during project implementation and testing stages
• Experience writing functional/technical specifications
• Knowledge of finance business processes and linkage to finance and non-finance systems
• Strong skills in solving problems, analyzing data, prioritizing work 
• Ability to acquire new skills and adapt quickly
• Demonstrated communication skills as well as the ability to work with multiple teams / time zones

• SAP S/4 HANA
• Opentext/VIM
• SAP Authorizations
• SAP Archiving
• SAP Certifications – SAP/Hana Technical Certifications
• Working in an agile environment utilizing user stories, minimum-viable product, and proto-typing

Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
