Seasonal Lab Assistant

Using state-of-the-art equipment, our laboratories complete comprehensive soil testing and analysis to deliver unparalleled insights to Farmers Edge customers, agricultural retailers, and research facilities across the country!

Our soil chemistry laboratory in Grimes, Iowa is looking to fill several seasonal positions starting immediately.

What we offer:

• $17-21/hr. depending on experience and qualifications

The Positions we're looking to fill:

Soil Grinders

• Operates a grinding mill and prepares samples for lab analysis while maintaining strict quality control standards.
• Maintains numerical order of samples essential for maintaining lab workflow.

Soil Extraction Technicians

• Prepares and maintains reagents, solutions, and equipment needed for extraction procedures in a wet chemistry lab.
• Records information and maintains quality control standards.

While not required, the following experience would be considered an asset:

• Basic knowledge of analytical method, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety
• Basic knowledge of inductively coupled plasma (ICP) ionization methods
• A flexible schedule and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
