The Research Assistant will support faculty in Public and Ecosystem Health with research, applied practice, and teaching activities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a range of academic and professional projects while gaining experience in research support, project coordination, and public health education. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a collaborative academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and assist with gathering, organizing, and synthesizing relevant information.
- Compile research, teaching, and project materials and develop summary reports and other written materials.
- Assist with meeting coordination, scheduling, agendas, and follow-up activities.
- Support planning and coordination of events, presentations, and other faculty activities.
- Assist with course planning, organization, and management, including preparation of instructional materials.
- Provide general administrative and project support as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications and willingness to learn new tools as needed.
Position Details
- This is an onsite position located in Ithaca, NY
- This is a part time 20hr/wk position
- This position is expected to start on August 24th and end on December 31st 2026
- The anticipated pay rate is $25/hr
