About the TeamNetwork Services & Insights re-architects the approach to managing and exposing modern cloud networking features, building on top of Netflix’s own federated resource management platform. We apply time-tested software principles to develop a network management platform that is user-focused, intent-first, and built in layers using composable modules with clear schemas and single responsibility principle. The team connects the dots across other networking teams, products and features to allow us to ship end-to-end experiences, not org charts. We additionally develop and operate some of Netflix’s largest distributed systems offering topology, health and performance insights, solutions for the identification & consumption of network resources, and structured network data access.
About the RoleWe are looking for an engineering leader passionate about infra and developer productivity to support the team in building the next generation of Netflix’s intent-based networking & observability. You will be owning some of our key bets, shipping overarching abstractions, and creating APIs enabling Netflix developers to completely change the way they interact with the products developed by the org.

• Own vision, strategy, and the end-to-end outcomes of an intent-based network platform and app-facing network observability at Netflix
• Effectively collaborate across several partner teams, focus on the user, prioritize ruthlessly, and get things done
• Support a team of stunning colleagues, keep them challenged and growing professionally
• Make data-driven decisions, make bets, learn from failures, be in situations without obvious right answers, and create an environment where rapid iteration is the top goal

Who we are looking for

• A leader who has a passion for platforms and a background in infra / infra-adjacent developer productivity space
• Someone driving eng excellence, technically mature, emotionally intelligent, knowing what they don’t know and able to listen and learn, advance conversations even when the right thing is unclear, ambiguous or unknown
• Proven track record of shipping and solving hard problems with tricky technical or organizational constraints
• Organized, informed, effective communicator and influencer using context, not control
• Outcome-focused and able to think from the first principles
• Not only someone who’s strongly aligned with the culture (we really mean it), but who would embody it on the team
